I was driving done the highway the other day and my CEL popped on. I have a 2000 gt with 54000 miles. Any suggestions on what to do? I havent noticed anything different in the way the car drives.

Wow. Not every CEL pertains to your MAF. If that were so, then it would be called a MAFL.

It could be anything, and all anyone can do is offer guesses until you get the code pulled and post it here. Hell, it could even be the fact that your gas cap isn't on tight enough.

And never clear a CEL unless you know what it is. Ignoring it will only cost you.

Don't do that until you know that it's the problem. Get the code pulled.

Almost everyone who hasn't done it before should do their MAF anyway. If its a problem the CEL will pop up again anyway.

on my 2002 civic 2 door i could reset the CEL by just holding down the trip odometer and turn it off for a couple seconds and im set.

But that was at the 20,000 mile check

Seriously, get the code pulled. Even if its gone, it can still be pulled.

If you want to clean your MAF, just because your CEL came on, then fine, but don't complain when your car goes ka-boom.
