Not that i peel out ever, but its nice to know I had the power to do it. Only thing I've changed on my car was put the 17" motegi MR7 rims on which weigh 24.5 lbs each. Are those my problem or what? How much do the stock GTS 16" rims weigh? Kinda makes me sad!

Did the circumfrance of your tires change?
It it did, you are reducing your torque to the road. You have a GTS automatic or 6 speed?

The weight of the wheel will make a difference.. for every pound at your wheels is the same as four pounds in your car, it adds up pretty quickly. Overall diameter will also make a difference. That said maybe your clutch needs to be replaced if you aren't able to plant as much power as you could. The stock weight of the GTS wheels should be around 16lbs. Tires also have to be taken into account when you calculate weight. The total weight of my stock GTS wheels with yoko AVS winters is 36lbs. The total weight of my 18s on the car is 45lbs and i can tell a difference but i can still burn out more then my poor poor tires would like.
That said GTQuentin I hope the weight you said there was with the tires on the wheel. If not heres a lil thought about maybe getting new wheels
If your wheels are 45lbs you can add about 20lbs for the tires inflated and mounted. Total weight a corner 65lbs. meaning almost 30lbs over stock, a corner. Thats 120lbs extra weight at your wheels. As that is the same as about 4 times the weight in you car thats about 480lbs in the car. Which means you are taking about 48hp out of your car!!
