Question for everyone. I have a 2002 Celica GTS 6 Speed. I want to know at what RPM everyone is shifting, from 1st to 2nd gear. I think, manual says 2800 RPM. I've been shifting in the 3000-3500 RPM's.

It all depends on how fast you are intending to get up to speed. Just shift when you feel like it. You shouldn't even be looking at the tach unless you are nearing redline, just listen to the motor & make your shift. thumbsup

Theres not a set rpm that you should shift at. It depends how fast you want to accelerate. Anywhere between 2000 and the redline will do fine!

Stupid question BTW

i normally shift between 3-4 i noticed. I like around 4 because it is in between economy driving and spirited driving...but shifting above 6 is also fun thumbsup

between 3.5-5k rpm for me..like everyone else's comment, shift at low rpm if you drive slow, shift high if you like to go a lil faster then everybody else's on the road..have fun..shifting make driving fun..auto is boring, nothing against auto tranmission<< all good.. thumbsup
