I hear that some celicas came with stock HIDs. Is this true? If it is stock, then is it possible to buy a HID kit from the toyota dealership? Or would I be able to find a celica that came with HID and swap my current headlights for them? Is it cheaper to swap or buy a HID kit? Who makes the best HID kits for celicas? Sorry about all the questions, I'm just familiarizing myself with this subject so it can help me with future purchases

hid's are a dealer installed option on new vehicles. i'm sure you can get a kit installed from them, but you'd probobly be better off getting the somewhere else.

A kit installed from the dealer will cost you 1000+.

i've asked a dealer that question too. they told me that they do not sell the HID kits and that it is not "plug & play" when connecting it to earlier 7th gens spineyes

yes you have to change the whole headlamp assembly to get the full Performance and look of real hids... happywink

i have both 2 sets of stock headlamps and one hid headlamp.. cause i wanted to do reasearch on the two.. so here's some slight differences between the two..

and i also believe you can do plug and play between the two.. but you would have to do some wire splicing and such.. not sure yet as i haven't had the chance to try it..
