Well, I should be getting my car back from the body shop today after getting it repaired from an accident I was involved in (not my fault). I'm still awaiting the medical settlement, but it should be pretty nice. So I thought I'd finally dress my car up a little bit. I already have and Intake, exhaust and rims, so now it's time for the big stuff. Here's what I'm planning:

-Kaminari Body Kit - Urethane
-ViS Invader Style Carbon Fiber Hood
-APR GTC-200 Celica Spec wing
-Hotchkis TVS Stage 2
-KYB AGX shocks
-TRD Rear Strut Bar
-6000K HIDs

That's the preliminary list. Depending on how much money I do get, the list could grow. If it does, who knows what might get "blown" my way. thumbsup

invader hood might be a little too aggressive for the Kam kit and the wing is rice imo

- the rest looks good... thumbsup

eh...to each his own...I think the invader hood is fine on any celica that I've seen so far...I don't even really mind it on a stock celica too bad

I remember seeing a silver celica from out of the country with a Kaminari kit and Invader hood. It looked fantastic! I knew right then that this was the setup I wanted. I don't remember the name of the guy, but the license plate was elongated and attached to the lowest part of the front bumper.

Yeah, I got rocked pretty hard. I was at a stop at a light. A girl, just turned 16 and just got her license, hit me at about 60 mph. She was trying to speed up to pass a car to merge over into the lane I was stopped in. By the time she got over, it was far too late to stop. I even had time to say to the guy in the car with me, "This looks like it could be bad." And that was before she even locked brakes.

The Celica held up FANTASTIC in the accident. My mom always joked that if I was in an accident, the car would crumple like an aluminum can. When she came to the scene, she was surprised that the damage wasn't as bad as expected. Ended up being about $7000 in repairs. I spent two weeks out of work, and a month in physical therapy.

Believe me, if it hadn't been a sixteen year old girl with a four year old girl in the passenger seat, I would have WHOOPED ASS!! That's twice now my car has been rear ended. Both times it wasn't my fault. The first, the chick thought she'd bend over to put her heel back on rather than watch the road. Her mistake when she looked up and saw me at a complete stop. My car is cursed!

I tried to get it totalled out, but to no avail. I don't think I want to sell it after I get it back, unless I get a REALLY nice settlement. But then again, I still have two years left of undergrad left which I'll be commuting 50 miles round trip per day 5 days a week. And I'm not quite sure I'd want to put those miles on brand new car (ie. a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution). I'll probably just hang on to the Celica and put all the miles on it and use the money to enjoy with, since my summer breaked was ruined because I couldn't barely get off the couch.

AZZKIKR, are you a lawyer or something? If you deal with this all the time, what type of settlement do you think I am entitled to? My lawyer hasn't said anything, but my bills alone are in excess of $4000.

I do have pictures, but my scanner is currently disconnected because I've been renovating the house. The right rear corner of the unibody was crumpled. There was a lot of damage, actually about $8000. I thought about going ahead and getting aftermarker stuff, but I thought I'd like to go ahead and get a factory bumper, that way if anything happened, at least I'd have a full factory kit to put back on. They know me pretty well at the body shop, so maybe they'll "hook me up" when I get the aftermarket work done.

That is the car I was talking about, a couple posts up ^^. I saw that, and I knew that was the setup I wanted. I think the Invader hood gives the overall affect of the kit a little bit more of an aggressive look. It's mildly aggressive, yet mildly natural.

Just spoke with my lawyer, and it's looking like my settlement won't come through for a couple months. But it looks like it'll be a nice Christmas at my house with all the packages that will be arriving in my name!! I can't wait.

Priority List:
1. Suspension
2. Appearance
3. Performance (only because I have an automatic and don't want to drop 4 large on a Turbo, yet.)
4. Interior

If you are going to get a lot of money, you could get the gt300 widebody kit.

I've thought about it, but I really don't want to be that flashy. It'd take $10,000 just to get the get and have it painted and installed. Not worth it. Money is better spent else where.
