i want to polish my valve cover but i dont know how to take it off..someone tell me how? and if i take it off do i need a new gasket? has anyone done this...is this a difficult thing to do?

What engine?

1ZZ 7th Gen: The gasket is rubber & reusable. To remove, you have to take off the coils, take the two center bolts out & about 6 or 8 around the cover.

2zz is a little more complicated, check out the how-to's for How to replace lift bolts. also, how are you planning on polishing it. are you doing it yourself?
