I got some cash coming in now and this will be my first exterior mod. I know lostrican and Vis sells them. I was wondering if any of you have bought them from Vis racing. If so, how much? I have heard great things about both.

how was the fitment? were you able to install it with the hood on the car or did you have to take the hood off?

did you install it yourself? I really do not wanna take a hood scoop to a shop to install. Do you know if VIS hood scoops are the same price?

yes, I installed it myself - very easy to do...

- take off stock one
- remove little black cowl from underneath and attach it to aftermarket scoop
- attach raised scoop in stock location

god i wish i could remember where i got mine to warn all of you about it. what should be a 10 minute job turned into about 4 hours of work. all the studs in the Fiberglass stripped the Fiberglass, which makes it nearly impossible to bolt them down. it sucked, but i made it work.

I would just go with VIS. They are a major corporation. I just got the E-mail from VIS today. The price for the Fiberglass hood scoop is $95 + s/h.
