Hey Kim:

hows the ride quality with these springs...i want to get the tanabe superdowns which are 2" all around because theyre having a limited time sale at suprastore at $125 plus shippin (sportlines may also be another option)...reason im askin is because im waiting for my new 18s with 225/40 profile tires and im planning on a wings west kit..will i scrape?? i did tons of searches and people say you need rear cambers while the other half says you dont..so i guess i need advise from someone who experiences this wings west & springs combo everyday...should i stick to springs with drop rates like s-techs or hotchkis instead?..thanks

ride quality was pretty close to stock. I know that the spring rates on the s-techs are 3 in front and 4 in back but i only noticed a slightly stiffer ride. one month after i installed them i ran across a killer deal for tanabe coilovers so i switched over.

oh crap forgot to answer the question.

well if you get the tiens then you will probably not scrape unless you're at a very steep incline/decline. If you drop with anything near 2 inches then you will scrape that fron WW lip. my advice is no matter what the drop always approach driveways at an angle. as for the rear camber links: with a 2 inch drop you will get some negative camber but it's good for perfomance but bad for tire wear. you will need them for whatever the drop if you want even tire wear. it's just that the negative camber degree get worse the lower the drop. I'd say with tiens you probably won't need camber links, but with hotchkis or tanabe you should. I have a 2.xx drop with my coilovers but i don't have camber links nor do i really need them, i do a lot of hard cornering so the outside of my tires get a lot of wear.

thanks so much for the info guys...

i think i may be alright with sportlines or tanabe superdowns, because if you think about it, i'll gain a few mm of height with 18's and 40 profile tires..most the pix above show stock rims so the s-techs make it low...still crossin fingers, so i dunno yet..i experiece four seasons as well so it might be tough in winter..ground controls or skunk2s may have to be another option..im so undecided
