I have a problem with my 2001 gt. almost everytime i get gas my check engine light comes on after i drive my car for a while or a few small trips and then it goes off after a couple trips. has this happened to anybody else? The engine is stock so its not like i changed anything that would make this happen. any ideas would be helpful

maybe theres a bad seal or a loose fill hose or something cause its a pressurized gas tank and the manual says that if the gas cap isnt clicked that the CEL will come on. Id take it to the dealer

try getting a new gas cap...they dont cost much. My friend has an is300 and she was having the same problem...took it to the dealer and all they did was replace the cap and shes fine now.

yeah its prob having an evap leak cause the gas cap isn't sealing right when you close the cap...try gas cap, worse case it might be fuel line down to the tank and it might be loose r something...

Make sure your code relates to the fuel tank. Take it to Toyo & get the code read.
