PM EasyC, it is legal because its just an axle back. Gains were better than TRD, what else you wanna know?

its only 2 db louder than TRD, on my car it gained 10.5 whp and 8.5 ft-lbs of torque...its a nice deep mellow exhaust note just like TRD. and its POLISHED T304 Stainless steel with a round (3.5" i believe) round tip...

I dont think TPR products have CARB stickers or legal documents like TRD. But I'm sure that it will pass smog so you should be okay.

As a California resident, I will inform you that all aftermarket exhaust systems require CARB certification to be considered completely legal in CA. The part also must have a CARB sticker or badge in a perscribed location on the car.

The CARB laws basically state that anything that modifies A/F ratios require a carb cert. Since an axle back exhaust has no effect on a/f ratios or emissions at all, i figured CARB wouldnt be necessary. I will confirm with my cali attorney shortly smile

Removing your catalyst won't change your AF ratio, but it's not legal.

Running a straight pipe from the cat-back won't change your AF ratio, but it's illegal too.

Stupid laws. deal

Check out NewCelica.org's Group Buy forum if you want to order. For info, check out my sig on NewCelica.org (can't use flash sigs on this site, or it would be here, too frown ). It has links to two different dynos done on the TPR exhaust.

Not yet. Last I heard, the shop was waiting for the tips to arrive for the first batch.

Hehe, once again, PM Easy_C, since he's the owner of TPR and the only seller of their exhausts.

You could probably sell the TRD for $300 if it's in decent condition. wink That means you'll only be paying $185 for 5-10 more hp. thumbsup I was actually planning on buying a used TRD before the TPR exhaust was developed.

Pics should be up soon. TPR's shop was supposed to do final assembly of the first batch of exhausts by the end of last week (fiiiinally got the tips in rolleyes ). In the meantime, here's a sketch I did of it a while ago:

The real thing will be much shinier, though. grin
