i was wondering if i can get 2 blue leds and replace them in the gauge to make them blue. has anyone done this to their cars? If so, how did you do it?

You may be able to do that, but a SMD would not be bright enough. You would have to get a normal 12v LED, or you could just change the color of the stock green bulb to blue somehow.

Check out my profile. I turned mine blue and it didnt cost me one cent. Just take apart the gauges and scratch off the green on the back of the gauges. Then once all the green is off, color it blue with a sharpie. Or use a "bulb condom" as billy called it tongue

there is a kit they sell (2 plug in LEDs) to do that on ebay but its prolly cheaper to do the bulb condom thing. search this to find it on ebay: 2000+ CELICA GAUGE CLUSTER BLUE LED BLINKER

what did you use to scratch off the green stuff off? is it paint?

wouldnt that make your signals BLUE and isnt that illegal? arnt the supposed to shine red or orange?

use anything, I used a screwdriver... dont be afraid to be a little forcful with the scratching either cause the layer is pretty thick

Means you need more red. Red acetate or cellaphane will do the trick.

i got 2 blue led for $15 on ebay... you just unscrew the orginal bulbs and replace with led. they are just as bright as facory bulbs
