I have a 92 Renault (for those of you who don't know Renault= French made Piece of shit car) that I use to drive in bad weather. It was running fine, I took a right turn today and it sputtered and died. I'm thinking fuel pump, but I wanted to see if you had any other ideas. I turns over just fine so it's nothing electronic...Any Suggestions??

Umm, I'm not a real car expert but I'd wonder about the spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel injectors. Make sure air filter isn't seriously clogged...I really can't help you.

By a used VW...who knows it may cost more to fix the Renault than what it's worth.

I think the squirrel that runs the drive train died laughsilly

it's injected...but who know's what is wrong with it now, I've spent more time fixing this car than driving it... oh well what can I expect for a 200 dollar car...Thing that really sucks is french parts are EXPENSIVE!!! cost me 275 Euro (1 Euro = 1.27 Dollars) for a new alternator.

Oh well one of these days I'll dig into the engine and see if I can make it go again.

Have you replaced/checked the plugs, injectors, and air filter?

Not yet, just happened today, I will though, I wouldn't think it would sputter out if it was the plugs would it??

you said that this car was driven in bad weather? does that mean rain or insainly huge puddles. if so check battery cables and also fuse. its probably just a little water. also check the negative terminal. my old beater car use to have a loose battery cable which made the car sputter to a stop a few times.
