Celica Forums General Discussion General New shocks?

Ok, my car is a 2002 GT. I have about 52,000 miles on it. Suspension is totally stock, for now. Whenever I get out of the car, the car squeaks as it returns to normal height. Would this be a sign that my shocks are on their way out? I anticipate fully upgrading the suspension before the year is out, so I'd like to wait and do the shocks then. Would that be safe? I plan to get KYB AGX's for a Hotchkis TVS Stage 2 system.

yeah, you need new suspension pieces...its usually around the 60,000 mile mark that you need to get shocks and struts...another 10,000 miles or so and you'll have to be thinking about a new clutch too

Could just be your springs or ball joints.

I figured that. I rock an automatic though, so I don't have to worry about the clutch. Wish I did though.
