What are you complaining about, 39.011 usd?

A GTS costs 61.045 usd here in norway.
(1 USD = 6,79 NOK. Price in nok: 414.500)
A GT costs 49.234 usd.

I like the NISSAN 350Z aswell, but they cost a mind
blowing 113.717 USD !!!!

Norway sucks donkey balls. Don't even get me started. And don't even TRY to complain about prices. Beeing a norwegian, I'll win every discussion there is :-/

Well what cars do you get in Norway that we don't get in the US?

It costs $30,000 USD for a 14 year old GTR, a new R34 will cost you close to $100,000. Good luck importing an S15 into the US, Motorex doesn't deal with those.

I've converted the prices in the UK for the following cars into us dollars:

Impreza STi: $55,744
Ferrari 360: $231,967
Lotus Elise 111R (Toyota engine): $55,744
Celica GT: $32,367
Celica T Sport: $39,011
Nissan 350Z: $46,933
Mazda RX8: $37,762
R34 Skyline mint condition: Max. $44,955

How do they compare? Should be interesting, especially the Lotus because they make them near to where I live.

Due to the limited number of cars available, I can only give you some used car prices on a lot of these. And seeing as they're mostly private individuals selling them, prices vary a lot within the same models. But these prices can atleast give you an IDEA of how bad it is:

*NEW* Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti... 83.932 usd
*NEW* Mazda RX8... 82.474 usd
*NEW* Nissan 350Z... 113.717 usd
*NEW* Mitsubishi lancer evo 8... 83.932 usd
2001 ferrari 360 modena F-1... 217.820 usd
2002 lotus elise (122hp)... 50.073 usd
1996 nissan skyline r33 gts-t... 48.600 usd
2000 corvette c-5... 107.363 usd
1994 viper r/t 10 550 henessy... 131.811 usd
2000 bmw m5 ... 102.945 usd
2003 bmw m3 ... 126.509 usd
2004 koenigsegg CCR ... 1.163.475 usd
2003 lamborghini murcielago... 383.652 usd
1994 toyota supra mkiv 280hp... 49.189 usd
2001 lexus is200... 44.182 usd

Toyota doesn't sell the supra here in norway. You have to import one yourself. Same goes for the skyline's, and evo's older than the evo 8.

You have to register the car in norway. And that's when all the various taxes and stuff comes into play, and makes every car insanely expencive. On several models, the taxes you have to pay are twice what you pay for the car (!)

And, no, you just can't skip registering the car 'cause the cops will stop you. And then you'll be in a shitload of trouble.

Example of a 1994 toyota supra:
Price without taxes: 17.525 usd
Price of registration (taxes etc): 18.262 usd.

And a lot of people are all like "well, you make so much money in norway all of you" but that's wrong. What you need to understand about norway is that it's govern by a system promoting the rich. If you're already filthy rich, you got it good. If you're joe average, trying to make a living, you're kept down by the system. It's all about keeping the different classes of people seperated. Middle class should not, by any means, be able to blend with the upper class. And anything real fun (like fast cars) should be kept at a level where only the rich can afford it.

People are dying while they're waiting to get admitted to some over crowded hospital. Old people doesn't get propper care. I pay almost 40% in taxes on everything I make. I can't afford an appartment and a car, even tho I have a fulltime job. It's just too f'ing expencive. A small 50 square feet appartment costs 126.000 usd here just outside of oslo. God, I hate the way this country is run..

Yeah, wish it was that easy smile A friend of mine spent some weeks in miami, and had a blast. He brought back a whole bunch of photo's from various used car dealerships, so we could drool over all the corvette's and 'stangs and other cars we usually don't ever see here smile The US seems like a wicked place to be.

Consider yourself beaten... A GTS (or T-Sport as it is called in Denmark) cost 78,415 USD.
Nissan 350Z cost 127,999 USD
One Liter of 92 octane gas cost 1.6 USD ~ 6.06 per Gallon!!!

Really? Heard about people importing cars from denmark 'cause they're cheaper there. Weird. Anyways...Congratz with the record smile

1 gallon (US) = 3.785 litres (as we use) (according to a site). 1 litre of 95 octane fuel costs about 11 NOK now.
So that's 41,64 nok for 1 gallon of fuel. And 1 USD = 6,79 nok. That comes out at about 6,13 USD for 1 gallon here in norway.

92 octane? You put that in your car?

It is (R+M)/2 , which is always lower than RON.
You use RON over there in Europe, don't you?

That's true... we have cheaper cars than most of Europe, but only before tax... so anybody, but Danes, can have a cheaper car by importing it from Denmark... But EU is about to ruin that...

Thanks... I guess... Denmark has the most expensive cars second only to Singapore...
