are these devices worth the cash? All the people I talk to about these things, tell me that they are junk. What do you guys think?

They are more for fun, and not to be taken too seriously, since they can be highly inaccurate.

On the other hand, since they are inaccurate, and taking into granted that it's a constant state of inaccuracy, you could probably use it to work on certain things such as your 0-60, quarter mile, 1-2 shift, and other shit like that.

You could also use it to give a rough estimate of how much a bolt on mod could have helped you.

I own one. I love it! It is not as unaccurate as everyone says. As long as you have all your correct vehicle weights entered right then it is pretty darn close. Your times should be off by 1/10th of a second. For instance, if you ran a 15.2 with the G-Tech your actual time would be more like a 15.3. Get it?

Any1 with The Gtech Pro SS can tell me if you can plug it to a PC like the RR model if you buy a serial cable? Because it seam to have a serial port in the back of the SS model. But gtech say it's only for firmware upgrade...
