i just ordered the endless B6 which is basically the steel version of the S6. After MUCH consideration between the B6, V6 and S6, i concluded B6 was the best value for my needs. The S6 is just the aluminium version of the B6 and apparently fer street use...thats not good because they are lighter but not as strong and can get damaged. so i took that off my list

between the V6 and B6 apparently only the fronts are different in that the V6 has an inverted monotube whereas the B6 just has a monotube. Inverted monotubes are apparently better fer handling and are further away from heat source i.e. brakes. But the dampener adjuster is underneath the shock as opposed to on top...so i think its harder to adjust. so i eliminated that as well because im really not driving that hard anyways. also the B6 has rubber bushings which reduces vibration and noise. i concluded that B6 was the best fer my needs anyway and my order has just been sent off the japan.

The B6 Function would've run me $1800 back 2 or 3 years ago. I wish I went with them. This was before Tein was introduced to America and very hard to get. The only other options for coilovers at the time were Hotchkis Bilstein PSS9 coilovers (that they still have), B&G coilovers that have been reworked or the same as when I called them years ago, and Zeal. I wish I went with Zeal to begin with or Jic. A big mistake on my part. The same talk about Jic being crap (mostly Honda sites with the revavled damper and custom spring rates. What A scam that person ran.) is the same talk I heard about Tein being crap with rusting and being crap. So you decide. I know my Teins are the end of the line for me, but I know what I could've had. Good luck all.

Tein HAs used to rust. They were made for use mainly in Japan, and the climate in the US is totally different than over there. Winters would rust out the struts, along with salty air if you lived near the ocean. The SS-Ps replaced the HAs, and have much better corrosion resistance.

Hence, my reply that Tein got a bad rap. Jic also. I'm still skeptical about the SSP's. I have coated mine with a protectorant. I know about Teins as you know Blue Bomber. I lost my site , but I still have the picts of many things. The HA's were a damn good coilover. Not meant for day to day driving in snow, salt, and sand. But who knew. My Hothckis camber links look worse than my old HA coilovers. I'm lucky they are still adjustable. I coated them also and will again for the snow and such. What's the story there?

I think aluminum is better because its lighter and it provides a pretty good strength-to-weight radio. And maybe thats why the S6 cost more then the B6. Go with the S6.

Zeal actually told back in the day that they wouldn't recommend selling the aluminum bodies to me due to the bad U.S. roads and that steel would be more durable and reliable. They also told me that some people have complained on the harshness of the ride quality. I'm used to that, but this is what they told me on the phone after a long conversation back a couple of years.

I have to dig up his phone number. I'm not allowed to post the necessary links here, but if you go to the Group Buys on N.wCelica.org he can get them at a good price or autocarparts.com. You will need to call them there. It's not listed on the site anymore. They had all of the Zeal line before for our Celicas like Vitek.
