After hitting that curb a week or so ago and bending my two front rims, window washing fluid comes out of the driver side fluid dispensor everytime I hit a bump, a dip or go fast on the freeway. It's really annoying and I was wondering how I can fix it. BTW I replaced the rims and everything else with the car seems fine now
First test your nozzles if they are working correctly. If the fluid doesn't pump through the hoses. You have an electrical problem. Check the plug connected to the reservoir washer and clean it. Make sure nothing has contaminated it and it is clear from debris.
Anyway happened to my friends Celica after he lowered it real low to the ground. Everytime he'd smack a bump one nozzle would squirt then both on ocassion. Open the area where the hose goes into the black plastic piece covering the windshield wiper motors and track where the nozzles. Pull the hoses off then either replace the hose or clean it, clear out the hose then put it back on. Fluid sometimes gets filled and doesn't evaporate or go anywhere until you release it. When you smack the plastic piece pinches the hose causing it to squirt or it is getting kinked somewhere. Make sure the hose it not getting kinked in anyway. Try to move it around and give it slack.
Either you smacked real hard and the washer reservoir got loose or it is getting banged into so whenever you hit a bump the reservoir is jerking the hose. Causing it to squirt and drip. Tighten the reservoir bolt holding the container so their is no movement, clean the hose, and clean the plug that is inserted in the reservoir.
If you still can't track the problem clean everything and inspect. Change the hose and give it more slack.
In order for the fluid to come out the dispensor (nozzle) it would have to be activated. That would make it an electrical problem & both should spray fluid. If that's the case, you most likely will have to take out the plastics inside the fender on the passenger side. I think you will find the reservoir & the pump in there. Check the electrical & tape it up where necessary.
