You're lucky. I had my clutch replaced, the shop couldn't get the right bearing or whatever, took them 2 weeks...

well if they got it done in one day, they're either insanely good, or fast but not careful as in not using a torque wrench hope your car doesn't fall apart going down the road. So more than one day sounds favorable considering there aren't many places that good.

Quit your bitching. It's only in the shop. Not like the impounded your car. Why make a thread on this?

^^ o cry about it. . don't read it smile

anyways. .. its still in the shop and its sat. i had to hitch a ride up to psu state smile

like i told him there, i'd rather wait to have it done right, then to rush it. ..

they are closed on sundays but he told me that i can call him on sun when i get home and he will come down and open the shop for me . .. thumbsup

and . . .who cares really if its a pointless thread. .. wouldn't be the first one, now would it .. .

to change the clutch/flywheel on our car they have to lift the car way up and take off the engine cradle to access the tranny right? then basically unbolt the tranny (8 or more tight large bolts) then slide it off and remove the clutch and flywheel (without letting either move) while working in a cramped space?

this is my theory of how it is done from what i can see. I have an auto but i guess this is what takes so long. prob a 5hr job with 2 people. 2 hour with any other car because when you remove the engine cradle nothing is really holding the engine up, which is the hardest and most time consuming part. not sure but i don't think that the other engine mounts are enough to support it.
