Celica Forums General Discussion General OK, whats the Difference?

OK, I could have sworn a 90 GTS was Turboed? I have a GT, and after looking at some GTS, I have realized, it is basically the same car...so what's the difference? Is it a different suspension, or tansmission?

Only the AllTracs came from the factory with a turbo. Not sure about GT vs GTS back then, but I think it was more of an appearance thing than performance.

gts has wider fenders, and a slightly different suspension. most gts also came with a 10 speaker sound system and the gt didnt. it was also around 100 pounds heavier than the gt. all i can think of right now, but yea not a whole lot of difference

1990-1993 Celica GTS has 5SFE engine (same as GT)
No turbo.
It has wide body.(GT has narrow body)
Hatchback only (GT came in hatchback and coupe)
Different suspension and brake setup.
