Was looking at installing a catch tank, but im not positive which size hose to get. It's probably 9mm, but im not sure.
Anyone have any info?

it kinda filters the bad oil or something like that
it's more effective on a turboed car.

The catch can will keep your throttle body and intake manifold clean, along with the tops of your valves and your pistons. More importantly, it'll keep the IAC valve from getting gummed up, making sure your car always idles properly, and doesn't try to stall when you come to a stop, or start revving up by itself.

It's definitely useful for an NA car. It'll prevent the IAC problem that many people have (bad idle), will keep the engine and intake system cleaner, and might even give you a bit more power since you'll only be sucking in air, instead of air with gas and oil vapors. You probably won't need to use cleaners (like Seafoam) in the intake system as much, either.

Doesn't really matter. Any universal one will work fine. If your car is running fine, it shouldn't catch enough oil to overflow between an oil change, or around 5 oil changes. The best catch cans, however will either have the inlet and outlet on opposite sides of the can (usually top and bottom), or use a baffled design. Ones with the inlet and outlet on the same side are kinda useless, since the outlet will just suck the vapors straight from the inlet. Having them away from each other gives the vapors more time to condense so the catch can can hold them. Baffled designs go one step further and give the vapors a longer path through the can. Another thing you can do is put stainless steel scrubbers in the can. This will help force the vapors to condense on them, making the air that's released as clean as possible.

It's depend on the design.
You can even make one by yourself.
Some fuel filters from Autozone or air/water or air/oil
separater for air pump from Home depot will work just fine.

I you use 100% synthetic oil you do not need it. FYI Aircraft (receprecating not turbine) engines that use synthedic oil do not reach their full expected life time between overhauls because they fail compression checks.

This may some stupid but I like to know the differences between the Greddy catch tank and our stock fuel filter. Can I replace the stock to these catch tank rofl
