For those that have aftermarket rims, especially 18" or bigger, are you having any alignment problems?

This will be my 2nd time in about 7 months that I'll have to take my car somewhere to get the front wheels re-aligned. My car is pulling left (in order to drive straight I have to tilt the steering wheel a little to the right wtf)

I have 18" rims and was wondering if there is any correlation to the alignment problems I keep having?

The challenge I have now is that Toyota doesn't want to do the alignment because my Veilside front bumper is too low and will not make it up the alignment ramp. Also, they claim that their alignment clamps are not big enough to grip the 18" diameter of my rims confused

I dont understand why they would say that, theres no way that they cant take an 18 wheel, they should be able too, they are just BSing, i can udnerstand that maybe the drop is too low, but other then that bullshit!

Just take it to a good place that does alignment and have them do it the right way, and get it done by them, fuck toyota!!

I have the exact same problems. I've done two alignments this summer. It pulls to the left also. I'm riding on Eibach Sportlines and 18's. I just recently put my winter rims on and the car drives perfectly straight. So that confuses me even more, it seems that the alignment is fine and it may be my tires. I just bought them this spring so I'm gonna take them in to be reseated and balanced etc during the winter.

My brother's a mechanic and he said that the readout I got with my alignment is good. It should be driving straight. He also said he wouldn't do an alignment on the 18's but it was more a matter of not wanting to scratch the polished rim... not because they were too big. confused

Hope this helped a little bit thumbsup
