i have a 2000 celi with a VIS invader hood... i am thinking about getting an injen short ram intake. i live in dallas and dont get much rain but it was raining yasterday while i was driving down the highway. after i got home, i popped the hood to check for water in the engine bay but it was completely dry exept for where some water dripped in the induction scoop on the hood (right where the intake filter will be).

will this be a problem for a short ram? it was seriosly only about 10 drops of water... but it would be much more if the car was just sitting in the driveway. and it might soak the filter. could i get a heatshield/splash guard for it and would that work? thanks for the help!

the filter would have to be completey submerged to suck in enough water to cause hydrolock

I have the injen short ram and the vis invader hood. Best thing is to get the heat shield. thumbsup thumbsup Becides an intake filter has an oily substance on it to make water just bounce of it. That is unless the filter gets sumerged into water. Dont wory just get the heat sheild and youl be coo.
