i was going to paint my center console and all the other stuff that ppl paint in the interior. my color theme is red. i have red graphics, lettering and brake calipers/ rotors. i was wondering would red engine paint look good on the plastics. keeping in mind that i have a liquid silver celi. thnx for ur input.

i agree w/u, that red and silver color scheme really don't go together. but for some reason on celicas this scheme realyy flows well. i get compliments on my ride left and right and i don't have n e body kit nor rims yet. but they love the red and silver scheme. but i guess that's just a plus of having celicas (the compliments that are). So i was thinking you know if it would be too much if i paint the interior red. i was wondering if someone has their silver celi painted red inside, and if so could you post some pics where you can c the interior and captures the exterior silver because i wanna c how well it goes. also ppl, give me ur opinions because i value them alot. thnx

I think red with silver is a good combination, stands out more. Only other option might be some sort of blue.

If you add black with it, it will look good. Example, outline your red graphics in black, and add a little more to the graphics with black. Do the interior like a candy apple color or red and black. thumbsup

keep the opinions coming, it's helping. i was going to get roll call graphics and i think i'm going to do that. black outline w/ transparent red lettering. c how much you guys help. i like that idea of balck and red theme inside. i'm posting pics of my interior and some general pics of my car. plz assess these pics and tell me if i should stick w/ all red interior or as dan said go w/ red and black. if so which parts should i do red and which parts should i do black. guys you know how important this is because you really can't go back and correct this if you choose the wrong color. thnx

I have red and silver. My dash is real aluminum, gauge hood is silver, and I have red Sparco Torinos with red door insert kit.

hey tony ur ride looks real nice, i wish i had money to do that. i'm gonna stick w/ the stock seats and i think red will look good for interior detailing. i mean ur car looks sweet. i was hoping if you could post a pic in which the exterior of ur car is captured however i can also c the inside. i'm planning to paint the following things red and leaving the rest stock color and untouched. the whole center console except the whole center peice with the ac controls (i'm not even going to touch that; the tweeter rings; the very outer cover (black in color) i'm gonna paint that red too; the plastic peice around the side view mirror controls; somehow i'm going to try to paint the edges of the airvents just the way urs r (i dunno how i'm gonna pull that one of; also i was thinking of doing the little round plate that id the cover for the fuses. this is on the driver's side as well as the passenger's side. tell me if this sounds reasonable, and if this will look nice?

thnx for ur help guys. i'll do this soon, when i have time to spend on this. also i was wondering if you guys think i should really paint those round covers that hold the fuses in there. they r on both passenger's and driver's sides. also how many layers of paint should i put on, 3 or 4 or more? also should 5 to 6 layers of clear coat be enough? will that clear coat give it a glossy look too? thnx
