Im new to import tuning and dont know a lot about cars,im plan on buying a celica soon and i plan on lowering it,I dont want to sound stupid or anything but what is the difference between lowering springs and coilover kits? any help would be great thanks. thumbsup thumbsup

coilovers are adjustable and the ride isn't as smooth someone correct me if i'm wrong. I have prokit springs with Tokico HP Struts/Shocks

LOL.. the second rule of import tuning is DON'T TALK ABOUT IMPORT TUNING!

yes welcome!! my experience with coilovers is that it's not comfortable whatsoever, i kinda hate taking my car places sometimes cause of the rough ride. springs are more for the street.

Coilovers can be comfortable if you buy a top end set. I used to have JIC SF-1 full cooilovers on my 95 Eclipse they werent adjustable stiffness wise but was a great ride and excellent performance, the only down side was they cost me about $1,200.

check out Tein S-Tech lowering springs, one of the best in the market! there's a guy on ebay that is selling them for $129 total. i think his name is kurumamotoring thumbsup

hahaha i got come ground control coils with eibach springs and it rides kinda bumpy but its a lot better then both of my friends lowered sport compacts. and they both have coils and say how much smoother my car rides then theirs
