ok I have been looking into getting a super high quality door kit, with remote automated lift. What I would like to know is what is the best for this and what has the best fit. thumbsup

I want this to look like factory and not have to take the whole front of the car apart like some kits. Is there such a thing?

I seen these on other cars and I'm in love kiss

No offense but a lot of people like to mod their car for self satisfaction. I dont think most people care if its played out or not as long as they like it.

yeah maybe it is, maybe depends where you are. But just doing some research so far nothing is permanently set in my mind just like your wheels. I decided for the time being to stay stock. cool

Also something about these doors I saw on this other car with the remote was just so sic, but then again it would be harder to park the car without a good ceiling I guess. happywink

Oh BTW your opinion really counts, since you have done so much to your car, prolly laid out some seroius cash. That is one bad girl you have there Kathy thumbsup

thats wut i'm doing spineyes

but to install these doors you have to take the front part of the car apart. you have to take off the bumper to take off the fenders to get to the door to change the hinge

Lambo doors aren't one of my favorite mods... but that's because of the poor quality of most kits. I don't like having to pull the door down and then in... lambo doors should latch just being pulled down. If you can find a kit that does that, then I think it would be hot. thumbsup

^^ there is no kit that does that because of the way stock doors are made...it would rub. you'd have to cut away some of your cars frame to be able to pull the door straight down...obviously stock cars with lambo doors (such as the murcielago, s7, enzo, mclaren, etc) have a factory door that is setup so that it won't rub...its just the nature of the beast.

there is a jdm vdc kit that does a total 90 degree lift (doors perfectly horizontal to the ground)..but its quite expensive to get it shipped here plus its a universal kit..meaning you'll have to get someone to weld since it won't bolt on to your stock hinges. it also doesnt work with remotes..so you'll have to lift the doors up yourself.

autoloc makes a self-opening lambo kit..but its also universal so again you'll have to get someone to modify & weld the hinges..but you can use it with a remote. the doors do sway a bit when fully extended (and they are not a perfect 90 degrees horizontal)

decah makes the most popular kit for the celica..its relatively cheap (around $1,500-$2,000) and there is no cutting or welding required (although you may need to roll your fenders)..but the doors don't go a perfect 90 degrees just like the autoloc version..and the doors also sway a bit when they are extended...but they are durable.

if i do i am definately getting the remote opener and shaving the door handles for that nice clean look i wonder if we could get a celica made lambo kit and just get the remote part off autoloc since i wouldnt ant a universal kit i just have had a lot of bad luck with universal things on cars

My car might be slow, but at least it looks nice!
