hi does anyone know anything about a clear front hood? which people can see everything in your engine. i heard about it before . but never saw it. does anyone know anything about this see through front hood?

i saw it at a car show on a civic(i think it was a civic, cant remember), but anyways, i dont like the idea of everyone being able to see in my engine bay and i dont think they look good.

ive herd of it but ive never seen it. I dont think that it would look good unless your engine looked like goldcelica's.

remember that really crazy celica before that some ppl were bagging with the extra roof spoiler and purple stickers etc? he's got a clear bonnet now with the terminator chick sprayed on it. doesnt suit the celica coz we have the vent. that dude left the vent out. damn i really need a scanner to show pics!!

I believe those are strictly for show, don't know if its street legel. its strictly for car shows only, the hood melts if driven all the time, it is not street legal

Along with the hood melting . The plastic clear hoods have no crumple  zone and that's why it's strictly for show and not street legal.

My co-worker had an old civic hatchback with I'll admit was badass after he was done with it. Trust me I seen him Hit the nitros on an open street on a Military Facility. Anyway. He had an engine swap and the engine was so damn clean he felt compelled to show it off. He Cut a 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 square in his hood in the center and put a piece of clear plexiglass in there and sealed it with some Aircraft sealant. That shit is clean looking and it doesnt melt or anything. Its like a lil window into whats goin on. Very nice.

Theres a guy in a neon around here that has one...he drives his car everyday with it on...i think it looks horrible
