I have the shifter on it's way here (should be here later today, in fact), and I was reading through the install guides...
My question is, what kind of grease do I use to grease it up? and/or is it included? (I figure it's probably not).
Is there a certain brand/type that I should be using?
Thanks! =)

Its simlare to bearing grease, if it didnt come with any, go to your local hardware store and ask for some good bearing grease, get a little tube cause it doesnt take much.

The person I bought my TWM SS off of told me to use Lithium grease. Wal-Mart has it in the automotive section. They sell really small tubes of it.

Yea same here. The TWM SS does not come with grease. Kind of faulty IMO. Had to get some white lithium grease the tube kind elsewhere.

I have a manual but i wouldnt have a clue about shifter kits either.. but you live and learn
When I find myself in a position like this, I ask myself what would General Motors do? And then I do the opposite!

Well, the shifter finally arrived. Actually, it's been here since Friday, but the post office didn't give it to me. (F'ing post office! ) Anyway. We'll see what they gave me when I pick it up tomorrow

I can't remember the exact grease I used for my short shifter, but it wasn't white lithium. I Used something that is more durable. I believe I used a bushing/bearing grease that was 1000X better than the simple white stuff. I think. The only reason why I know is because I went to the "bearing" grease first. Some stiff clear stuff and coats like mother giving birth in a Vaseline pool first. I ran out and tried the white lithium. The white stuff didn't even compare to the rest of the stuff I used. It was like water. Some all purpose red silicone grease for bushings, bearings, etc. should do the job pretty good I guess.
