Ok so i was driving back home from school, when i tried to shift into 3rd the gear wouldent go in or even any gear. Im like . My shifter felt like it broke or something cus it was wabably. So since i culdent shift into any gear i coasted into a small street and start to check out the shifter. So i took of all the plastics that are around the shifter and realize that the end joint of the shifter was not in that little cup thingy so im like . It took me like half an hour to snap it back in there; drove around the small streets and it seems to be cool since it hasent came lose. Has this hapened to anyone??? heres some pics of what im talking about...

yeah you sure you replaced the slip that holds it in completely, if one side was only in it could come out in a mtter of time, yeah it was a pain to get it clipped in my ss installation but that makes it hold it tight
A boats a boat, but the mystery box could be anything....Even a boat!

yeah there is a little clip that attaches the ball joint on the bottom of the shifter to the gear selection rod. It might of popped off if not put on correctly.

That clip was such a bitch to put back on!!! I remember I actually had to stretch it out a bit before I could put it back on cause it was so tight!!

That same thing had happened with my SS. Mine became all wobbly and I could only shift to fifth. What happened to my SS is the little silver metal disk with the fins on it on the right side of the shifter housing fell off because it was not on tight enough. That little piece was enough to make may SS feel and look like yours. It's too early for me to take pics of the clips.
