First off let me say i do not have a turbocharger in my carf but for some reason it sounds like i do. Whenever my rpms start to go down i hear a whistling noise. It just started a couple of days ago but it was really cool at first but now it is just annoying the shit out of me and anyone that rides with my. I have only put exhuast on my car and that is it. Its a stock 2000 GT. thanks for your help.
you know i have the same problem with my camry... not sure why it's making the sound tho. however it's been running with the sound for about 50,000 miles no prob
My celi use to make a noise like that and it turned out it was a recall part around the belt area that need to be changed out..I would take it to yota to have it looked at...just to make sure nothing is wrong!
what exhaust did you put on? the whistling sound could be coming from the 2 flanges where the exhaust and mid-pipe bolt up near the rear passenger side wheel. Turn the car on, and feel for exhaust leakage, if it is leaking, take your car to a muffler shop and ask them to put a gasket in between the 2 flanges.
my friend has a 240sx and has the same problem. it was his wiring for his sound system. he re-did his wiring and the sound was gone. but i thought it sounded pretty tite tho.
