the bumpy surface helps to dissipate heat though.probobly wont make a difference under normal driving conditions, but if you drive and brake hard this could make a little difference. tongue

how so? by having more surface area with the bumps than w/o them?

i believe so, more surface= better heat dissipation. my friend is a toyota tech. and he just installed a trd supercharger in his tundra.if you look at the supercharger it has the same bumpy surface,the manual states that if you polish the superchager it could reduce the heat dissipation by as much as 30%. i would think that the same would be true about the brake calipers as well. smile
