well i finally got rid of the cheapo ebay exhaust. and running on stock just isnt the same... i decided to go with the real deal
lol...
since TRD, Trial, Tanabe, and Skunk2 is out of my budget...
and Apexi N1 and HKS hyper is too common...
i have finally decided on the RS-R exhaust.
my friend with a civic has it. sounds alright, i like it. have anyone heard this on a celica in person? anything bad about i should know about before i put down the down-payment on thursday

-thanks

My teammate had one on his Celica. It sounds beuatiful; nice deep tone.

I think it sounds more louder than the apexi-n1 exhaust. i dunno about the gains, but i heard it is a repectable name. thumbsup

(BTW my friend ended up flipping his celica on the freeway.)

I (and several others) have the Invidia exhaust, which I understand to be a copy of the RS-R design. I'm pretty pleased with it.

I have. From the pic it looks free flowing and has a slight curve at the end instead of making a big U-turn like the stock exhaust.

wow, really? why haven't we heard more about this exhaust? I mean, if it's got better gains than trd you'd think everyone would want one.

not saying you're wrong or anything btw, just curious.

So they're charging you about $125 for the install after considering taxes, right? What's their shop rate? They shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to get your exhaust on your car. And that's if they take their time. Of course I'm considering the great price of the exhaust at $400 shipped which you may or may not be getting. But the thing is you can order it from hopupracing, and bring it to them to install if you can't do it yourself. You really shouldn't pay them for more than 20 minutes of their time.

"With the optional inner silencer removed, dB, torque and horsepower increases will be noticed for a more racecar sound and performance. Silencers are included with every GT2 exhaust system."

...that's what this website says that is selling them

http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateH.asp?SubFolderID=282&SearchYN=N

I got 250 as a xmas present and i am thinking i am going to buy this to replace my current custom one. If it says it fits a GTS it will fit the GT right?

hopupracing has it for $405 shipped so if that place's shipping is less than $30 it's cheaper, though maybe not by much.

I have the rs-r ex mag gtII exhaust and I'm very happy with it. It is very loud w/o the silencer in, but the car definately feels faster in upper rpms vs. stock. And plus its lightweight, i weighed it at only 13lbs.

Hmmm, Not sure if a Canister muffler can sound like a chambered on our cars. Anyone got a clip? Not only that but i dont really think a Canister muffler will perform as well OVER THE ENTIRE RPM range as a TRD...

Look at the veilside exhaust...its light and has a canister muffler...2 whopping hp..

i wonder what my custom exhaust put down on whp- i cut out the original muffler fabricated a straight pipe then added a performance muffler on-it feels like a lot more power but i dont have anything to dyno it so i dunno

I think the reason the rsr performs well is that its straight through exhaust. An exhaust with the fewest restrictions and proper diameter is going to perform the best.

This is true to an extent. Exhaust gas velocity is more important than exhaust pressure. For example, TRD has 4 bends, TPR has 5, yet TPR outperforms TRD. Its a simple concept smile
