So, for those that didn't read my summer posts, I was involved in an accident, of no fault of my own. I ended up with about $8 grand in my pocket and a fully rebuilt car. So I decided to treat myself to a nice set of Christmas presents. Everything should be arrived and fully installed by the first week of 2005. Here's the list (pics will be following in following weeks):

Kaminari 4-piece Urethane bodykit
TRD Headlamp Covers
ViS Carbon Fiber Hood - Invader style
Sparco Hoodpins (Silver)
APR GTC-200 Celica Spec wing
TRD Coilovers
TRD Rear Strut Bar
McCulloch 6000K HID Kit
PIAA Ion Yellow Fogs (Lexus style)
Brushed Aluminum Dash Kit
RJAutoworks Black/Blue Gauge Face w/Blue LEDs
"CELICA" Fill in Decal
Royal Purple Full Synthetic Oil
K&N Performance Gold Oil Filter
PIAA Super Sporza Wiper Blades (driver, passenger, rear)

I guess that's all I can remember. That's just the "car related" stuff I bought with the money. I'm currently waiting on the hood, wing, and body kit to ship in. All I need now is a set of sway bars and a front strut tower bar. After that, I'm going to start saving for a C2Power Stage 1 Turbo.

Very bad advice. I tell people to get out while they still can.

You'd have been wise to save the money, or buy something other than depreciating car parts spineyes

I probably am a bad example. I plan on getting racing seats and then being done. I am actually very good with my money and have given more than 10% of the money I have ever made to charity so I think I still spend my money wisely. I just hope that once I do get those racing seats I will be done... thumbsup

I spent all of $3,727.22 on all that stuff. So that leaves a little over 4 thousand left. I was very generous with a sizable portion of my "free" money. I gave away more than a grand to friends and family in gifts.

As far as school is concerned, school is paid for (scholarship). I still live at home while going to school, so no bills. I'll be using some of the money to invest in my health; I will be getting Lasik laser vision correction to correct my blind eyes. So it wasn't ALL wasted on the car.

Very generous of you! It will all come back to you. I know in my case it has more than came back to me. My parents got Lasik and it worked great for them. thumbsup

Thought about it, but then I figured I could get more bang for the buck this way. I can live without turbo since the car will be looking good and handling well.

My parents paid 1000 for both eyes but they were some of the first customers. It usually costs 2000 for both eyes. The night vision does get sligtly worse but my parents say it was one of the best things they have done. I personally have extended wear contacts so I sleep in them and dont take them out overnight for a month. Plus your eyes should not be getting worse when you get the lasik.
