Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Racing harnesses with TRD rear strut bar?

Ok, so the guy who helped me install my TRD rear strut bar thinks that I could use it as a harness bar for some racing harnesses. Granted, I'd have to permanently drop/remove the rear seat backs, but at 6'4, not too many people can fit back there anyways. I told him that I had never heard of anyone attempting this. Would the belts even be long enough to reach back there with my seat slid all the way back?

not really supposed to wear harness for daily driving but if you do or even if you race the best place to have them attached is either level with thte seats or slighty above

if you have them below the holes in the seat then you run the risk of the belts hurting your spine in a accident the belts will push down on you

so i don't remember how high thte trd bar is but use my info if ya want

sparco makes a harness bar, that would be better than the TRD bar.
