I want to spray off the block cause its kind of dirty and has anyone done that before? I am scared I will mess up my car.

SPray on Degreaser and water thats all you need, I have never had a problem with anything, just watch areas like fuse boxes and alternator things like that but other than your fine to spray away

Yeah go buy this product called "Gunk" Engine degreaser, it works great.

Isnt wasing your engine like that bad in Florida?
Once we have an under ground water supply wont the oil sink through to the bottom

Once we have an under ground water supply wont the oil sink through to the bottom Im not too sure about the disadvantages of washing your motor in Flordia, but from what I know, degreasing your motor will not be a problem because I did i before to my car.

just get a rag aand do it by hand man, safer
