Just got my eibach set in, and i have the spring compressor. planning on putting them in tonight. on the strut removal install guide it shows that the nut at the top of the front stuts is not a reuseable part. do i need to run to toyota quick and pick up a new set of nuts?

yea yea... i know that sounded bad.

If it's correct or not, I don't know, but on all my cars, whenever I've changed suspension, I've never bought new nuts. Always been happy with the nuts I've had. And my nuts have never given me any problems.

Changed the suspension of the celica 3 times, and still using the same nuts.

Have you cleaned your nuts?

(no, that has nothing to do with it - I just needed some excuse to work inn more nut-referals smile)

Be sure you don't scratch your nuts too much. And don't play with your nuts too much either as you might lose one.

yeah i think, those nuts are re-usable, I don't see why not, washers might be a different story though.

well... after lots of swearing, and the realization that springs suck i managed to get one in and figure out the method for doing the others. i should have the other three done tomorrow night. i didn't see any reason why i would need to replace "my nuts". i will post pics when finished. anyone know how bad my alingment is going to be after this? if its bad i will just take it toyota and have em fix it, i don't feel like screwing with it.

It's not absolutely necessary to replace the nuts, but yes you're supposed to get new ones. They will probably work fine if you've only worked on them once, but after a few times they won't work well.

why yes, i did you my exsisting nuts, and they seemed to work out fine. after that project was over i felt like my car had kicked me in the nuts though.
