Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Rear Speaker Install help

Yes i looked on the Installs page but i need some more info on how to replace the rear speakers. I drilled the rivets out and disconnected the speaker. I saw someone wrote that you can place the new speaker in the factory mounting unit. just looking at it, i don't see how its possible. Is this really possible or do i have to go buy more stuff just to get them in? Is it the same for the front? Please help, i'd really like to get them in. Thanks guys!

in order to do that you have to cut the speaker out of the mount. Making an MDF mount isn't too hard if you end up having to do that.

had the same problem, goto your local best buy and get the front speaker mount kit for a 95 dodge neon, take a dremel or drill press with a sanding wheel and remove about 1/4" from the inside of the mount. should solve your problem.
