Reducing unsprung weight can increase many different aspects of performance, including acceleration, braking, handling, and steering.
These nuts are unique in that they are heptagonal, they are seven sided lug nuts. Kyokugen nuts look like standard lug nuts, but the only way to remove them is with the special socket provided with the set. In addition to the added security, these nuts also weigh 50% less than stock lug nuts (0.9 oz. vs. 2.1 oz.) On a car with 4 lugs per wheel, this can save you more than a pound! These lug nuts are open ended to comply with most race sanctioning bodies. Sets are in M12 x 1.5 and come 20 to a pack.
Since these lugs actually have their own locking pattern - meaning that they are equal in weight... unlike your factory lugs where only one has a unique pattern, which may make your wheels slightly off balance when in rotation, these are all the same weight.
The lugs are open-end - so they do NOT stick out
and because of them being open-end, they will fit just about any wheel set-up
The store sells about 10 sets of these a week... not a single complaint
https://celicahobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=156BTW, they are $44, not $46...
Most other places sell these for $50, plus an aditional $10 shipping
Factory standard lugs on the left, Kyokugen Lightweight Lugs on the right...
