GRRRR>... I've got 45,000 miles on my celi, and that means that sometime later this year I'm gonna have to get my clutch replaced...I'm also thinking about having them do some other stuff while they have the tranny available...should I go with a Fidanza flywheel or LSD...

You'll get better / more noticable performance out of a LSD ... even though it would be be about twice as much as a flywheel and also cost more to install.

I would go with the flywheel! might as well if you're getting the clutch replase and the 2 parts are connected! Labor will be pretty much the same cause they have to take out the flywheel to replace the clutch. But it's all up to what you're trying to achieve... LSD affects handling and corning while the flywheel affects acceleration, engine braking...

I've actually got a crap 5th gear synchronizer, and they are gonna rip the tranny apart under warranty...they asked me about it last time when my bearing went nuts, and said that the labor would only be like $125 to install the clutch and flywheel while they have it out...

REV much faster, or have more traction...hrmmmmmmmmm...

the celica has no tq anyway and it will provide mor eundersteer cause the wheels wil be moving at pretty much the same rate full lock the outside tire can travel up to 100 rpms more then the inside

do you just road race or drag as well?

if you road race alone, get the lightest, Fidanza. If you drag don't get the lightest b/c you need inertia for launching, although mrtomcat pulled off a 1.85 s 60' with the Fidanza (and tons of skill).

if you plan to go turbo, don't go much lighter than stock. You don't want to lose boost between shifts and too light of a flywheel will hurt you.

I get my kicks on EC.

Get a Quaife LSD!! It does cost more but for road racing and autoX it will be a much much better upgrade! OUr cars are horrible for the peg leg effect from the open diff when exitting a corner.. who cares how fast you can accelerate if you can't plant the power that you do have... the lsd will also help with accelertion aswell!!

of all the mods i've gone through or done to my car (pretty much every single performance mod you can buy that makes power)

If I had to do it all over again i'd put the lsd in first. Just too much fun to drive the car with it.
