I got some pictures of the dragster I drive before we cut it up to stretch the wheel base it's all stripped down sitting out side our chassis builder's shop so it doesn't look like much for now: 8 pics total

I know it doesn't look like much now but at one time I piloted the car to an ET of 6.96 at a speed of 201.05 the car normally had a 396 big block blown and injected of methanol we are extending the wheel base to hopefully campaign in on the Nostalgia Top Fuel circuit

it's sitting at our engine builder's shop we're cutting the car right at the motor mount and putting a 500 inch aluminum big block

I just got back from wrenching on it we dismantled the car the rest of the way. Tomorrow we're going to pick up the tubing to start getting ready to cut the chassis and extend the front end another 14 inches. While that is happening we're going to begin constructing a body for it.

It's not all that bad I'd actualy perfer driving front engine to rear engine since in the front engine car your sitting between the rear wheels so you can feel the car lose traction earlier and feel it start to move left to right sooner it gives you a better chance at recovering before it gets out of hand. I'll keep up dating the thread as the car progresses. thumbsup

^^^It's my friend's car I'm just a hired shoe thumbsup he pays for it and I just work on it and drive it. It was so cool I worked just as a volunteer pit crew member on the car for the last 7 years and worked my way up to being the back-up driver. Now he decided to make me the full time pilot when our last driver stepped down. I'm the reason the car is being stretched it was originally sized to fit the last driver who was about 5 inches shorter then me so I never really fit the car all that comfortably so now we're stretching it out so my longer legs fit. It will also help with the overall stability of the car. grin
