are the tru-power pullys worth the money what is the affect on the altornator

there are a lot of threads about this, My opinion is it is only good for a little bling under your hood, HP wise you wont gain any more than 1 HP and you might feel a little bit of a difference in engine spool up time. It will make the alternator less efficient so if you are running apowerful sound system I wouldnt reccomend it.

When I first installed mine, I noticed the power windows were a little slower going up or down when the car's @ idle. Then I installed the hyper voltage stabilizer (HR model) and everything's back to they way they were before. I think the only thing the pulley's good for is better throttle response! I think it's worth the money! thumbsup

i have a 600 watt rms sound system, is getting one of these ok with that wattage>? i dont think thats considered high power

and also y dont they put it on the ac compressor instead of the alt. ??

would it make my alternator not last as it should? i read a guys that had one and his alternator died after 2.5 years... i have one..should i take it out or would my alternator be alright?

it works fine and doesn't harm anything

Because if you dont have the AC on then it doesnt make a difference! Even with an Optima Red top you will still not be running to the full potential. The battery will only make 12.6 volts the alternator makes the other 2 volts to get you to 14.6. So you wont really be getting 14.6 volts anymore!!!
