Alright if some of you who didn'tknow, I completely took out my dash to apply some generic dynamat. well I'm the guy w/ the custom dual gauge pod in the center console, which I made myself. well when I put everything back on I didn't plug the gauges in and left all the wires wrapped up, i didn't think it was a big deal. well I'm making a modified JDM console look-alike for someone tonight and I was seeing how it fit. so I snapped it on and "Pftttttttttsssssssssssss", lights go dim...then my fuse box caught on fire. I ran out popped the hood and ripped off the negative terminal. after about 15min, I had to let the smoke air out I checked it out. It turned out my center console knocked the main positive and negative wires together causing both to ignite. which caught a piece of my interior carpet on fire. I burned a good bit of plastic here and there but no other wires were damaged(that I know of). Also, I blew an ignition fuse, but there was a spare in the fuse box. Also, whats that red thing under the fuses in the pic below. I checked all the fuses except the black and brown ones because I wasn't able to and they are all fine.
