hey guys I have a custom exhaust, from the 1st reasonator back w/ a Megan Racing M-N1 turbo muffler. My neighbors have began to complain about my amazing sounding exhaust so I had to put on a silencer... cry well when I put the silencer, it doesn't seal properly causing the edges of it to leak making a horrible buzz...Its almost unbearable and deffinately embarassing...Any ideas of how I can fix this? I was thinking make a thick ass layer of hi-temp engine paint. GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!!!! heres a pic of my exhaust if anyone is curious

yea, I guess. It could just be me but it feels like I get a little more low-end w/ the silencer on

i believe you do, because the way it was explained to me was that the silencer creates restriction which gives more back pressure. more back pessure = more low end. more flow = more high end

the more flow thing is right but the back pressure part is wrong.. (look at the exhaust thread up top)

it would be a temp fix but use tin foil around the edges of the silencer it wil help it seal and will resist heat till you can think of a better soultion paint won't work cause it will flake off eventualy you could try header wrap also

I'd say screw the neighbors... I'm pretty sure if you keep the rpms down when you're driving by their house it won't back THAT bad!!!

well...its pretty loud. its like when you unbolt the exhaust...I think I'm gonna try the foil thing, Its a dual silencer so I put it on the 1st baffle.
