Celica Forums General Discussion General Problem starting w/ CAI?

Just wondering if anyone else with CAI has this problem? I've had the Injen CAI for almost 2 years now and ever since I installed it, the cars just cranks a second or so longer in order to start. Is this normal, I don't know why I waited till now to ask, I'm just kinda bored right now! Anywho, any help will be appriciated.

As far as I know the Celica never starts on just one or two cranks, like I've seen in some domestics...even mine takes a good 2-3 cranks. Is this normal or should I complain to the dealer?

But since you have a CAI, I think its because the MAF works a bit differently plus that Butterfly Valve is gone.

I'm thinking maybe because the intake pipe is longer, it's takes longer to suck in air during the initial start. Anyone with a short ram have this problem too?

that and the butterfly valvue acts as a choke i bleive to help it start and you dont have that anymore
