Dose anyone else notice the difference in the sensation of acceleration between motors that have high torque at low RPM vs. motors that have high torque at higher RPMs?

I ask because driving my Celica often feels more like driving a motorcycle than a car.
In the way that the acceleration has an elastic warp like feel to it vs. something
Like a Corvette where you just tap the gas and its instant torque on tap.

Uhh yeah. Celica nad just imports in general have there power in the high end, where as muscle cars just get low end torque and power, they shift like probably under 6000 rpms, highly built imports shift around 8-9k. V6=low end I4=High End

Racing and fuel consumption do not go in the same sentence.

You really can't feel acceleration in a car.

Get on a bike, when you hit the gas hard it'll try and throw you off. rofl
