What excatly is the difference between the 00-01 GTS engine and the 02-up engine?
I know the knock sensor is different with the 02. what else?

the rev limiter for the 02 was 7800.. the 03-05 have DBW controlled throttle rather than cable.. and have the 2nd generation of lift bolts and raised the limiter back to 8400

so if I had an 01 gts engine put in my 02 gts all I have to do is switch the knock sensor and it should work just fine?
cant say ive done that before... ahh crap

I threw a rod and the engine that was ordered was from an 01 gts not a 02.

k so your replacing your whole engine with a 01 2zz? if so you can just use the ecu and knock sensor from that engine
