Is a heat shield essential for a short ram intake? I drive in traffic a lot, so I'm worried about heat soak. what brand heat shield is best, fits an ingen, and how much.

Not needed but deff well worht it. Ther are a few differnt types, injen and RMM are big ones. I prefer the RMM heatshield becasue it seems to do more becasue of its design. Seems it woudl block more. I mean ur not gonna get massive gains from SRI but becasue you drive allot, the heat will get to the intake much more. I dont know how much the heatshields are.

Ecelica i think sellls the injen one, U can go to the Rodmillenmotors website and ask them how to purchase their heatshield. Deff suggest you ger one though.

the store here does sell the injen heatshield..i beleive its $75 or so.

the heatshield is good for about 1-2 extra whp...it's worth it. rmm also sells one as well
