Okay, is been a while since i haven't buy a new mod for my engine. What i have right now is a GT 03 with a AEM CAI and the TRD exhaust. Everything else in the engine is stock and now i feel that i need something else just to feel an extra hp. I know already that the GT is slow but i just want something else in my car.

What should i get that can give me a little bit of more hp?

Thanks guys

headers won't do anything
PFC isn't going to do much on a GT motor without FI
turbo is the only way to get more power along with the PFC

What is the difference between the 1zz engine and the 2zz engine?

What type of engine does the gt have?

Does this supercharger fit in a gt 03 engine?

rofl...the Celica GT has the 1ZZ VVT-i while the GTS has the 2ZZ VVTL-i. The big difference between the 2 is that the GTS has a high compression ratio than the GT and the GTS has"Liftyourock". The Blitz Supercharger is only for the GTS i belive. The TRD supercharger works for the 1ZZ but takes a quite large amount of work to get it running properly...SLVCELICA on this site has it thumbsup

Yeah that supercharger is for the gts. For the gt you would need the trd supercharger but it requires some modification to get it to fit and you need to get it tuned by a very good tuner using e-Manage or the powerfc. It also requires a new hood which I am not too sure you would want. Look to pay 4000 nowadays for everything installed and tuned. For the turbo I think your looking at around 6000 once everything is said and done. Just depends on if you want the lower rpm everyday driving power or the high end horsepower, fast numbers. I am not sure how much cams would make a difference but you could also look into the new cams that just came out.

i just cant believe that headers wont do anything for our cars...how can headers help all the other cars but it wond do crap for ours???? im just not buying it guys...i need a good reason on why i shouldnt buy them, and not bc you say so or you say you didnt feel any difference...when you put on the headers, what other mods did you have? i know you need other aftermaket parts for the headers to work properly...

I know that if i install a trd supercharger to my gt i have to change the hood and i have seen the hood and i don't like it. Because i did't know the difference between 1zz engine and the 2zz engine, i thought that the blitz supercharger was nice for my car but this is not the case now. I prefer something else, in that case i will have to go with turbo but what turbo will fit my engine without changing the hood?

Also, why a grounding kit will increase hp??

No you wont need a new hood for the turbo. Do you have an auto or stick? I dont think the grounding kit would do too much.

your wrong, im pretty sure its aftermarket parts are what make an after market HEADER not work... if you have no aftermarket performance parts on ur car then you will get a deceint increase in power with a header! cant find the dyno right now but ur saying that we cant "feel" any difference... Its already been dyno'ed that DC header will only gain 1 hp at the most and LOSE hp on some cars!

Do ur research first

Well if you had an auto then a turbo might not suit you since the turbo has lag and where most of the power is needed is at the lower rpms for an auto. Since you have a manual a turbo looks like your best bet since you dont want to have the hood. The turbo lag should be pretty minimal especially with your manual.

have you ever tought of supercharger? how bout turbo?

headers, pulleys, cams, and etc...may give you a little hp improvement but what's next? you still want more power?

get it done right at once with F/I and that will keep you shut up for while. grin

My advice would be to wait for the tpr header. Its hard to beat the stock header design so without good r&d your not gonna get much out of it.
