what's the best location for the power source wire to hookup to for the voltmeter?
it says the ignition...but I am not sure how to wire it up there...if this is the best then isaac or does someonw know how I get to where that is?

if there is another location, where will it be?
Cause I am not familiar with too many locations...
I hooked it up to the lighting so it only comes on when the lights are on...which obviously I can't do...
I need a source that has power as soon as i turn the key..anyone know?

Can you do a fuse tap into one of the systems that get power when the car is on, like the wipers or something.

I don't have anything to do that...
the wipers don't have power unless you turn them on...such as the lights...
it either has to be the ignition switch or another source that has power when the key is turned.

No the wipers have power as soon as the car is turned on. For example I'm using a fuse tap (into the wiper fuse) to get power to my radar detector, it comes on as soon as the car does. All your systems have power when the car is on, its just a matter of weather you want them on or off. Think of a lamp (or whatever) plugged into a wall, it always has power.

What I'm asking you is, if all you need to do is tap into a power source why can't you take your pick? Will it fuck up the read out if you tap into another hot wire?

thanks man...
i found something...
idk where it leads to..but i tested it and it is something that has power as the key is turned to on and also when the car is started...
also, if it is unplugged the car will not start...so whatever it is, it works... grin
