Hi!!! This is my dilema... On Jan 26, a big rig hit on the freeway and it was a hit a run thing angry... i pulled over and waited for him to pull over too... well guess what! as he passed me by he just looked at me thumbsdown... i got his license plate though..i place a filed police complaint.. now i have a meeting with his insurance company tomorrow (MONDAY) ok that's over with... ok on 1/31 i took it to toyota cause my cel came on... ok it was code P1346 and they replaced camshaft timing sprocket [ description- gear assy, camshaft and gasket, cylinder]( i dont know what that is btw) ok i got it back the next day 2/1 then i went to the body shop to get my car repaired ( $ 2,300) on 2/4 and got it back 2/11... then the next day 2/12 my cel came on again...this time it read the same code( P1346 camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction) [description -sensor, crank pos.] when i first took it i had 59651 miles on it. the second time i took it i had 59906 miles on it. now i have 60140 on it... do you think they will still cover my car... what might be the reason(s) why this code keeps on coming on. i dont drive my gt celica hard btw... i mean i try to shift gears between 2 and 3,000 rpm...but more like 2.5 though... in the freeway i usually cruise at about 65 mph at about 3,100 rpm... so again any suggestion or comments please feel free to do so...oh and another thing where do you suggest on taking my car to get my car aligned..i toeing in the rear but not too much 9 i think) but anyways thanks a lot thumbsup

we have a timing chain.

you'll also get that code if your valve clearance is off wink they are notorious for doing that. also your timing could be off. that would do it also.

If they try to give you any crap call national cust. service. The dealer will be calling U back the next day.

If it is related to the collision then be sure to get reimbursed for your troubles!!

NO those have nothing to do with it.

you need to check your timing and valve clearance. if you cant do that on your own then take it to the dealer.

ok funny thing happened today... this morning as i was driving to the dealership i noticed that my car was squeling and i figured that it was aem pulley and thought that it got wet or something so i go back to my house cause i didn't want to drive to toyota with my car squeling and shit thinking that they were gonna blam my pulley kit for throwing the cel...and so i go back to my house and decided to spray some wd40 on the pulley and the noise went away...and put back the plastic that covers that side of the engine bay... and i get inside my car and noticed that the cel went away... i was surprise and decided to drive around to see if it would pop back up but it didn't so now im hoping and praying that cel won't come back on again...

i didn't go to the meeting anymore thinking that something bad might happen to me... instead i just called a gave them my statement about what happened... i mean could they actually win... he hit me from behind, left the scene ( hit and run) which is a felony... but the downside of it all is that i didn't have a witness and he could just say that he was even near the area... hoping and praying i win this and get reinburse for the damage... gonna update the pictures of my profile soon.. take a look in about a week thanks

told you it was still there.

I'm betting on valve clearance issues.

Hi, i also have the code P1346 and also had P1349 pop up too in my 2004 Celica TSport / GTS in the States, wondering if you ever found the fix, everything sounds good on the car to me, fixed 1349 by putting in a new VVT sensor and think 1346 has something to do with the chain tensioner / chain / vvt gear / valve clearance am I correct car has 110,000 miles, six speed manual, here is a vid of the sound of engine:

Cheers for the help,
