Well I just disabled my DRL, cut the yellow with the green stripe. I put balck electric tap on it and now, I dont have high beams. thumbsdown

Im sure it was the correct wire I cut but I dont know. I heard of this happening but I dont know. Oh and the gas meter is blank now. Im going to reconnect them in a little bit to see if that makes the high beams come back.

So what did I do wrong? confused

if you read the replies to the guide in the install section, you will notice that it's normal for the fuel gauges to go blank for a while or until you refill ur gas tank. and the DRLs are the highbeams but you can manually turn them on

^^^good point out..this is what happen when people don't every thoroughly..lol..just playing..i might suggest for future references that it might help if you "Unhook ur Battery" first b4 "Cutting" into electrical wires..come on people, use ur common sense will ya..i did that and my fuel gauge is at the same level as b4 i cut the wire..plus it's a good rule of thumb to "always, always, always" disconnect ur power source b4 cutting into anything that have power going to it, like electrical wires for an example... rolleyes..plus you save urself the trouble of running the chance of short circuiting something..oh i didn't have to REFUEL for my gauge to go back to normal..

Yeah I knew that was suppose to happen, I wasnt worried about it, the problem was my high beams went out. I could try to turn them on and my regular headlights would come on confused

Oh and once I had the high beam thing fixed my gas gaged fixed itself as well without having to fill it up. Once again confused

But im happy now, no more drl and now I can turn my lights on/off as I please.

i didnt disconnect the battery grin but i never experienced any problems. my gas gauge never went out.

but its wise to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before doing any electronic modifications on the celica. thumbsup
